Taco Breadsticks Recipe

This Taco bread is a delicious twist on traditional tacos, combining the flakiness of crescent rolls with the bold flavors of classic taco ingredients. Crescent roll dough, topped with layers of taco meat, taco sauce, and melty shredded cheese.  This is a fun and flavorful dish that’s sure to be a hit, whether served as a snack, appetizer, or casual dinner.

How to Make Crescent Taco Bread

This dish is super easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Spray a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray or brush with olive oil. Open a can of crescent rolls, and don’t unroll. Using a sharp knife, cut the whole roll of dough in half. Place dough cut side down in the loaf pan.

In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease. Add water and taco seasoning to the skillet and simmer for five minutes. Spread taco meat over the crescent rolls. Drizzle taco sauce over the top and sprinkle with shredded cheese.

Bake in a preheated oven until bubbly and golden brown. Garnish the bread with green onions or parsley. Carefully remove the bread from the pan and cut into slices.

What to Serve with Taco Bread

This bread has quickly become a family favorite! I usually double (or triple) the recipe and never have any leftovers! When it comes to what to serve with this bread, I have some delicious ideas for you:

A refreshing side like a crisp corn salad or a tangy coleslaw can balance the richness of the taco bread, adding a burst of freshness to each bite.

For those who love a bit of extra heat and texture, serving it alongside some jalapeño poppers or a bowl of tortilla chips with guacamole might be the perfect touch.

You can’t have taco bread without a basket of warm tortilla chips, salsa, and our favorite Jalapeno Ranch Dip.

To round out the meal, consider adding a serving of Mexican rice or black beans, both of which complement the Mexican-inspired flavors of the taco bread beautifully.

These sides not only enhance the meal’s overall taste but also turn it into a satisfying, well-rounded dinner. Looking for more side dish ideas? Here are some popular recipes from the website:
