Why This Recipe Works

Versatile: These boneless air fryer chicken thighs can be paired with just about anything, making them one of my go-to recipes for dinner! They have a simple seasoning that complements the flavor of the chicken and keeps them super juicy and flavorful. But it is simple enough that you can pair them with any of your favorite sides!

Quick & Easy: Air fryer skinless boneless chicken thighs are super easy to make with almost no prep time! Chicken thighs always come out of the air fryer perfectly juicy and so flavorful. Since these chicken thighs have no bones, they cook more quickly in the air fryer, so you can have dinner on the table in no time!

Ingredients

Skinless Boneless Chicken Thighs: This recipe is specifically made for boneless, skinless chicken thighs! They cook well in the air fryer and get a little crispy on the outside and remain juicy on the inside.

Olive Oil: To coat the chicken and allow the seasonings to stick!

Salt & Pepper: To taste.

Garlic Powder: For a savory depth of flavor.

Brown Sugar: Just a little bit of brown sugar will leave a nice, caramelized layer on the outside of the chicken!

Dipping Sauces: You can serve your air fryer skinless boneless chicken thighs with BBQ sauce or any of your favorite dipping sauces!

Here’s How to Make It

Step by Step Instructions

Season the Chicken: Toss the chicken thighs together with the olive oil, salt, garlic powder, sugar, and a good few grinds of black pepper until well coated.

Cook: Air fry the chicken in a single layer, working in batches if needed, for 15-17 minutes at 360F, turning halfway through, the chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165 F.

Expert Tips

Use kitchen tongs to easily and safely flip the chicken while it is in the air fryer!

The beauty of chicken thighs is that they are less likely to get overcooked than chicken breast. So if you want them extra crispy, you can cook for a few extra minutes!

You can use bone-in chicken thighs if you’d like, but generally they are thicker and will require a bit more cooking time! If you aren’t sure how long to cook chicken thighs in the air fryer, my recipe is a good starting point. You can check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to make sure they are cooked to at least 165 F!

If you prefer to use chicken breast, follow my air fryer chicken breast recipe instead!

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I store air fried chicken thighs? Store the cooked chicken thighs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days! Reheat in the microwave or air fryer until heated through.
