Grilled Peaches is the Definition of an Easy Elevated Recipe

Peach crisp and peach cobbler are universally adored, but to savor a peach at its best, consider grilling it. Grilling peaches enhances the natural sweetness and flavor of the peach. Whether enjoyed as an appetizer, tossed into a salad, or served with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, grilled peaches are a memorable treat that come together with minimal effort.

How to Grill Peaches

The following tips are provided to help you achieve perfect results. You will find the detailed instructions in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

Select Firm, Ripe Peaches

While you want the peaches to be ripe for optimum flavor, it is best they are also rather firm, so that they will be sturdy enough to stand up to the grilling process.

Remove the Pits

Much like cutting an avocado, cut the peach in half by running a knife around the circumference and then twisting it open, revealing the pit inside the peach. Unlike an avocado, the pit of a peach can not be removed by putting your knife in the pit and twisting. This will just cause the pit to break apart. Instead, use a melon baller or cookie scoop to scoop out the pit of the peach.

Brush the Peaches with Oil

In order to prevent the peaches from sticking to the grill, brush the each side of the peach half lightly with olive oil, melted coconut oil, or canola oil.

Grill Peaches Cut-Side Down

You just want to grill the peaches until char marks form and the peaches are slightly softened. This is just long enough to enhance the natural sweetness of the peach and add a bit of smokey flavor. If you grill the peaches longer, they can quickly turn to mush.
